Shipper / Receiver (1 year contract) North York 2074978

North York, ON

We are looking for a Shipper/Receiver for our Toronto location.  This is a 1 year contract role. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Process orders to meet delivery schedule for requested pick up time.
  • Provide substitutions or replacements where necessary
  • Pack products on pallets to avoid any damage
  • Label and pack pallets according to customer requirements
  • Product is loaded on truck according to delivery schedule
  • Make arrangements with carrier for any shipments required to ship outside carrier
  • Report any product returns to Customer Service
  • Perform weekly cycle counts.  Minimum 1x per week
  • Review packing slips on all supplier orders ensuring accuracy.  Report damaged product or shortages to Customer Service immediately.  Sign all packing slips detailing damages and/or shortages.
  • Ensure product is put away in warehouse once received from supplier
  • Perform product audits if/when necessary.
  • Weekly count of CPC pallets and manage CPC pallet control forms

Requirements

  • Valid Forklift License
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Ability to work autonomously and with little direction
  • Able to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Detail Oriented
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to demonstrate the ability to solve problems in a fast paced environment
